The rails run a few centimetres under the surface, and the sea goes on
past where the light does. You begin alone on a platform standing in
open water, waiting. Wait for it. Then walk the carriages, and sit at a
window. The other passengers will not speak to you, and the train stops
only where it stops. Get off wherever you like — you will not be coming
back.
